In The Room is my attempt to put my experiences, thoughts and feelings relating to COVID-19 into music.
About In The Room
Lacking extensive musical training, much of my songwriting process relies on musical intuition; I use my ears and emotion to guide the music. Though some may think that such an approach may result in an extended, laborious songwriting process, it is quite the opposite. When I compose, I try to only focus on listening to the music and imparting my thoughts and feelings into each note; the technical complexity is secondary.
That being said, In The Room, though not particularly technically challenging, is actually rather complex with regards to music theory; it features a very unique chord progression.
